Red Faction II is the second installment in the Red Faction series, developed by Volition and published by THQ Nordic. This first-person shooter game is set on Mars in 2080, five years after the events of the previous part. The game revolves around the story of a rebellion against the dictatorship of Sopot, who has been ruling Mars for the past few years. The player takes on the role of Alias, who must lead a team of five members to put an end to Sopot's dictatorship.

The gameplay of Red Faction II is a combination of shooting, puzzle-solving, and vehicle and melee combat. Players can overcome obstacles in many ways, including the use of explosives and shooting. The game also includes boss battles, where players can acquire melee weapons and modify their jeep. The battles are unique and offer players a chance to earn rare loot. Red Faction II also features a local multiplayer mode that can be played through the 40 levels with real players or bots.
